Pune – Founder Meehir Kulkarni from Gravity Foundation Pune has adopted a very remote village Balhegaon in Sambhaji Nagar district with the objective of improving and developing the village and has provided various facilities like irrigation, Road construction, library, Gym, water Purification, separate toilets for men and women. The ambulance equipped with medical equipment provided by Gravity Group for Balhegaon was inaugurated by Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar today at Shree Shankar Maharaj Samadhi Math in Dhankawadi.
The Commissioner in his speech said, “I am aware of the situation of the Balhegaon and the nearby places as I was posted there for some period. The whole area is deprived of basic necessities. In such a situation, Gravity Foundation has taken up the task of development of the entire village. The Kulkarni family, who left their ancestral village fifty years ago and settled in Pune, has maintained their relationship with Balhegaon through development ”. He also wished Meehir Kulkarni for the completion of all the work undertaken. The official website of the Samadhi Math was also inaugurated by Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. On this occasion, Balhegaon Sarpanch Pandurang Suryavanshi, Sudhir Kulkarni of Gravity Foundation, Corporator Rajendra Shilimkar, Satish Kokate, Surendra Waikar, Amol Jog, Dr. Kadam were present.
